GOD IS LIGHT

God is Light. When there is Light, there is Truth. When there is Truth, there is a Way. When there is a Way, there is Life. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! Light overcomes darkness. It gives clarity, safety and energy!

Let your Light Shine Today!

5This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there's not a trace of darkness in him. 6-7If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we're obviously lying through our teeth—we're not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son, purges all our sin. 8-10If we claim that we're free of sin, we're only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won't let us down; he'll be true to himself. He'll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we've never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God.

THANKFUL SATURDAY MORNING

It’s a great Saturday morning. The weather is not too hot! Just enough warmth to start the day right! It’s a rest day for me and Gabby and I am  excited to go to church this evening!

I am composing this while Gabby is right beside me on the bed still in her deep and calm sleep!  She’s been so excited and looking forward to her 5th birthday on July 16. How time flies … she’s already 5!!! Her Auntie Llana is going to bake a cake for her on her birthday. I am not planning a big celebration though. I just want it to be a small and intimate family thing-y (LOL! Got that from Gabby). Her Dad promised to give her that trolley bag for school. How about Lola? Lola said she has a big surprise for her!!! Well, we’ll find out soon!

More than all these, I am thankful to God for His protection over Gabby and for loving her. He is my Partner in raising her up to be a wonderful child of God. He’s been our Provider and our Help. Thank You Father!!!

BEST GIFT EVER

Tagged by Emzkie. Thanks friend! Enjoyed doing this.

*** Start Here ***

Friendly Rules:1. Simply copy the inspirational story and in the end write down the lesson you have learned out from this. 2. Put your own blog name and link. Pass or tag this to your friends to inspire them. 3. Start copy from “Start here” until “End Copy” to your blog.

--- The Best Gift Ever ---

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matthew 7:11,"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLS. SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

***End Copy***

:: Lesson Learned:

The story happens to everyone of us, in our daily life. We often would pray to God for something that we “think” is best for us, for something that we “think” is what we need. And when things don’t turn out that way we wanted it to be, we think God was not listening. We forget that God is greater than all of us, He is Almighty, His plans and will are far more awesome and marvelous than ours. We just need to trust Him with all our heart that everything is working out for the good of His people.

:: Also, I’d like to look at the story in a different angle, in the context of Matthew 7:11, that when we ask something from God, we need to be specific. If we need money to pay for a certain bill, ask for the specific amount and the date when you expect it to come. Remember, He is our Father, our relationship with Him should be more intimate and personal than any other relationships we have.

ALL CHARGED UP!

  • How are you doing today?

Good morning! Thank you Father for another day, fresh and full of challenges ahead. I set planks for my future today, I hold on to your promise of eternal life and salvation. I move forward like a good sheep, and keep my eye focused on that cross, like a loyal and precise archer, I aim purposefully at my target-- to advance your kingdom. Destructions also come fresh today, but I am ready to push them back and clear the road which I am in. I rebuke fear, witchcraft, lying heart, apathy, laziness and rebellious spirit. I will always remember where You took me from before You saved me, I'll take Your warnings well and act on them, and I'll remember where You promise to take me after all these.  I am your child, I belong to YOU Father, and YOU alone!!!

GOD SURROUNDS ME

No matter how tired or sleepy I am after a full day at work, I always thank God for a day filled with His grace. He is my strength and sound mind. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to last a single day in “one piece”. Oh yes! He is my sanity.  His Grace comes fresh everyday, also His Mercy because there are new destructions and tests everyday! So I take them and live my day, surrounded with God.

Thank You Father!

DEAL!

I had another full day at work! But I’m really glad we were able to get one big client! This client has built its own daycare facility within its premise as one of the benefits of the employees. Wow! I hope more companies would have the same heart and care and will always look after the welfare of its employees.  This is good! Will be very busy in the coming days as we start the legwork.

So please bear with me if  my posts here would be erratic in the next days  but I will try my very best to give you interesting posts like before.

DIRT DEVIL: CLEANS AND SAVES

Clean! Clean! Clean! That’s what I can’t do without. I hate to be in a place full of clutter, mess, or dirt.  A dusty, grimy, sandy surrounding of my home has not been and will never be acceptable to me.  I like it clean, fresh and organized with a vacuum cleaner.  However, it is really hard to keep your home in this condition if have your kids around, how much more if you are a single working parent having little time to clean your home. Most especially when both you and your kid have allergies to dust, pollen or allergens. Whoa! Being in this situation requires you to be wise or shall I say shrewd! That’s why I have always been on a look out for the most practical and energy efficient items i.e. equipment, appliances or even cleaning aids.

I have always found vacuum cleaners or those “dust suckers” a very efficient partner at home.  It saves time and cleans really well. I drooled over the wide array of cordless Stick Vac and Hand Vac cleaners branded Dirt Devil. One product is specifically designed for allergy sufferers, like me, as it has HEPA filtration that traps 100% of pollen and ragweed particles and 99.97% of other allergens and dust.  Oh, and we are not done yet!  It is also energy efficient, using AccuCharge technology that enables a 70% reduction in energy consumption unlike my old sucker. This makes AccuCharge the first Cordless vacuums to be Energy Star approved. This is so cool! It saves me time and money, keeps my home clean and dust free and finally, keeps those sneezes away!

CLICK TO GIVE FREE MAMMOGRAMS

Constance forwarded me the Breast Cancer Site , wanting to promote it and help out hundred thousands of women from Breast Cancer. The “Click Here to Give – it’s FREE button, which you will find on the site, helps fund free mammograms for women  with low-income and minority whose awareness of this dreadful cancer and opportunity for helpd are very limited.  The Breast Cancer Site needs 8 MILLION clicks this month of June to be able to fund more mammograms for women! Your click is paid for by site sponsors, and mammogram funding is provided to clinics throughout the U.S. through the efforts of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mammograms are among the best early detection methods hence, this campaign.  It is estimated that over 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and over 40,000 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. So women, let us be self- aware and take care of our body, by getting that much needed mammogram every year. Click the pink ribbon now!!!

COOKIE DUNKER

  • How are you doing today?

I found a very functional stuff from a department store. It is called a Cookie Dunker. It really sounded like a post about basketball, ei! LOL!

Gabby loves to dip or shall I say, dunk her cookies in her milk. Yes. She saw that in the Oreo Cookie TV advertisements. She does it here at home and from time to time, in school.  The Cookie Dunker is a perfect container for her milk and cookies. As you can see in the picture, it is a single container but it is actually compose of two detachable parts - a milk container (top) and a cookie container (bottom). All you have to do is grab the top container with one hand and the bottom with the other hand then twist them in opposite directions (sorry had to explain that Mommies, needed more words to make this post longer. LOL!) The milk container is made from a jelly material "EZ Freeze", designed to help keep the milk (or any liquid) cool after taking it out from the refrigerator. This works for Gabby because she wants her milk, juice or water cold. It also has a spill proof lid and a built in straw for ease and convenience. The built in straw is a practical design as well, she can just take a sip  if she wants to drink without opening the lid, right? You know kids, they make a mess while eating or drinking so this Cookie Dunker will definitely do the trick.

ALL SET FOR SCHOOL

  • How are you doing today?

We have already bought Gabby’s school supplies from National Bookstore (where else in the Philippines? LOL!) We were able to purchase everything on the list and it costs around P650.00. Not bad. Next week, we will go to SM to buy her new school shoes, rubber shoes for PE,  lunch box, socks and a pair of khaki pants (that’s her uniform, and a navy blue shirt with school’s logo printed on it). She was insisting on buying a trolley bag because she has seen some of the kids in school carrying one. I didn’t buy her that, she only needs to bring her lunch box to school everyday. All her supplies will be left at her cubbyhole in the classroom. Good idea! This way, the kids will not have a hard time bringing their stuff to school then taking it back home everyday. We just need to get her annual check up from the pediatrician, secure a Health Certificate, then she’s all set for school!

SILK FOR ALL OCCASION

My mom and I love decorating our house. We opted to paint our house with light and warm hues and shades then filled it up with stylish and elegant home furniture and appliances. We used silk plants and flowers as accent to complement the light and warm base color of the house. Though we are fond of real plants and flowers (we have a garden at the back of the house) and wanted to achieve that fresh and rich atmosphere indoor, we thought it was best to opt for those artificial ones because they are pollen-free therefore, will prevent Gabby (my daughter) from having allergies. As we all know, pollen (from real plants) is a common trigger of asthma and presents its effects by means of an allergy. Moreover, since it does not contain pollen (which attracts insects) it decreases the chance of problems with insects inside our home.

Artificialplantsandtrees.com carries a variety of silk plants, faux trees and flowers that go well with any need or occasion. They can serve as centerpiece for parties or gatherings, also lovely additions to your garden, one can rearrange them into different patterns. Their products are made from quality materials designed to look and last very long. So that means, it is more practical and low maintenance to have them around because you won’t have to replace them every so often, they do not wither, fade nor die, no need to water and no need for sunlight.

NEW PURPLISH THEME

  • How are you doing today?

Happy Sunday! I changed the layout and theme of this blog once again. I just felt it needed a new face and look, more chic than the previous one. I am a dynamic person and I am quick to implement change if and when needed. It keeps me excited and eager to move forward and do more. In line with this, I have gotten approvals from other advertiser media which means, more opps! ( hopefully!)

To those active and diligent bloggers out there, keep up the good work! To those who have just gotten approval like me, let's show them what we've got! To those who have just started blogging, this is not an easy job, it takes commitment. So write more and be ready to burn those eyebrows! LOL!
