I think it is practical to maintain at least one credit card that you can use for emergency purposes. You’ll never know when you would need one, so better to be ready and prepared during those situations.
I used to have around four-(4) plastics out of arrogance (oh yes!). Without thinking of the interest rate, balance transfer rate, annual fee, APR, etc. Without the needed planning, knowledge and discipline it entailed to have a credit card, I ended up paying huge amount of accumulated interests and charges on top of the actual amount I needed to settle. And it felt like a lifetime before I finished paying off everything. I learned my lesson the hard way but it taught me a lot. Now I am contented with just having one that suits my need.
It is smart to to compare credit cards before getting one. This time I chose a low interest credit card that could give me the best value and perks with easy payment scheme like CITI credit cards It is good to know what available cards are out there and the different options that you can choose from.
